Chickory is a sweet Casanova daughter with a fine handling fleece and a wonderful personality. Her coverage is superb, and her bite is solid and correct. She's a gentle, calm girl who turns heads and wins hearts. Do you know that only 1.3% of all ARI registered alpacas are Dark Silver Gray? Chickory comes from a proud line of top-quality producers of colored alpacas, gray being prominent. Her dam Hickory (TB) is a reliable girl with a great milk supply and excellent mothering abilities. Her grand-dam, Silver Belle, is a proven producer of high-quality cria, having thrown all silver gray, black, and one roan in her years of production. Of course, every gray breeder knows what Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, AOBA Color Champ & Futurity Herdsire of the Year, has done for the colored alpaca market and Chickory is a strong representative of this line. Her grand-sire, Peruvian Bueno G173 certainly needs no introduction. 5/19/12: Chickory delivered a beautiful MSG female cria sired by ATV Silver Elation, a light silver grey male with stunning fleece, producing awesome crias. Chicory's 2013 cria by Silverton of ATV is a very nice cria with a stocky build covered by MSG fleece. We decided to breed her to Picasso that will add the same wonderful coverage to her offspring that Silver Elation does but additionally complement what Chickory has to offer with his compact build.
